Start celebrating Christmas this year with the annual Mumbles Christmas parade with the RNLI, Santa, and lighting up Mumbles! Newton Road closed from 5pm with entertainment from 6pm. Shops open late, outdoor food stalls, musical entertainment!
WHAT’S ON
5pm Road closed – setting up stalls etc – Please move your car by 5pm!! 🙂
6pm – Event starts – The main stage leads the celebrations outside the Ostreme
Fiddle Sticks Violin Orchestra perform out side Lloyds Bank – 20 strong string orchestra!
Salvation Army Band christmas carols perform at the top of Newton Road
6.40pm – RNLI & Santa parade this year from the TOP of Newton Road by Oystermouth school down to Ostreme Centre.
7pm – Special guests to “switch on” the Christmas lights – This will be counted down by Badger from The Wave. Guests announced on Sunday 5th November at 12 noon.
7.10pm – Santa heads over to his Grotto located inside Maureen Cottey Florist shop.
7.15pm – Entertainment on the Wave stage and an overall warm christmassy feeling should abound.
Pop up food and gifty stalls will be located throughout Newton Road plus;
Carousel and fair rides will be located both ends of Newton Road…..all this and christmas music will entertain visitors up until late!
9.30pm – Road reopens
