For over 15 years Samba Tawe has played an evocative and energetic mix of Brazilian, Cuban and African rhythms to audiences at a wide variety of events across the UK.
Since its formation in Swansea in 1994 the group has grown and developed not only musically but also in size so that today the combined ranks of bateria (drummers) and dancers now number over 60 members. The amazing energy and visual impact of original percussion scores and exciting dance movements combine to create a riot of colour, movement and infectious rhythms ensuring that our performances never go unnoticed, come rain or shine!
